Gunnery: Without a doubt the most important skill a tank crew can have (besides the covert use of tobacco products in the turret) is the ability to acquire, track, and kill the enemy. Table VIII Gunnery tests the ability of the tank crew to kill multiple stationary and moving targets. At line units, this test is the end all to any pride a unit can have: if the unit does well, the unit is considered a good unit; if the unit does poorly, the unit is considered a poor unit. At AOBC, the main function of this exercise was to orient us to firing the big bullet (120mm Sabot, HEAT rounds) and give us a bit of a bigger bite of reality.
